Playing comes naturally and effortlessly for children, and they learn best through play. As children continue to gain skills and an understanding of the world around them, we help them learn best and seamlessly using their language – play! In partnership with parents, a school can provide an educational program to best meet these young learners’ needs.
As the newest addition to the Sekolah Pelita Harapan (SPH) network of campuses, SPH Pluit Village embraces its play-based learning approach implemented in Early Childhood Education for children aged 3-5 years old (K1 – K3). Entering a new season of learning fully onsite, the school underwent an expansion project of their Kindergarten learning space to further reach and accommodate more families in Indonesia, particularly around Pluit area.
Expanding this learning center allows SPH Pluit Village to serve more young pupils and raise a generation of confident learners, where its play-based approach essentially combines children's need for play and learning. It is a purpose-built facility for children to explore and learn through the avenue of play. As the young student learns a new concept, the subjects are integrated through hands-on activities to involve all senses, allowing them to learn at their own pace with structured free-thinking and exploratory activities.
Through all these efforts, the goal of SPH Pluit Village is for students to learn about who they are as purposefully created individuals, while also preparing them for the rigors of academic study guided by supportive and caring teachers. By providing children with a diverse and hands-on learning experience, SPH Pluit Village looks forward to having its community grow through the opening of the new Kindergarten center.
