Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX) 2025 is back to celebrate a decade of promoting and advancing the Indonesian furniture and craft industry on the global stage. For ten years, IFEX has consistently driven market expansion for Indonesian furniture and craft products, empowering local artisans to reach an international audience. The exhibition will once again take place from March 6th to 9th, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran.
Organized by the Indonesian Furniture and Crafts Industry Association (HIMKI) and Dyandra Promosindo, IFEX 2025 will bring together over 500 top exhibitors and showcase more than 3,000 furniture and craft products. Spanning 65,000 square meters, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of innovative, high-quality products made from natural materials, highlighting the best of Indonesian craftsmanship. This demonstrates Indonesia's readiness to compete in the global furniture market. As part of the Asia Furniture Show Circle, a network of leading furniture exhibitions in Asia, IFEX solidifies its position as a key player in the global furniture market.
Building upon the resounding success of the previous edition, IFEX has further proven its role as one of Indonesia's promising export potentials, especially in the furniture and craft industry. Last year's event generated significant traction, attracting thousands of visitors from 117 countries and achieving impressive on-site transaction values exceeding US$300 million.
This exhibition will showcase a wide range of high-quality products with distinctive designs that reflect Indonesian culture and are ready to meet the demands of the global export market. IFEX will showcase the best of Indonesian craftsmanship, highlighting the nation's rich natural resources and inspiring designs with international standards. It has been known that Indonesia is one of the best producers of raw materials, IFEX provides a vital platform for local artisans to showcase their arts in the form of furniture and crafts. IFEX will present Indonesia's signature furniture, crafts, designs, and art inspired by the true beauty of Indonesian natural resources.
The Indonesian furniture and crafts industry has significant export potential, with a strong market presence in the Americas, Europe, and East Asia. Indonesia's competitive advantage lies in its ability to produce high-quality products at competitive prices.
The Indonesian furniture and crafts industry is experiencing robust growth, with export markets projected to expand by 5-8% and domestic markets by 4-6%. Industry research indicates that the Indonesian furniture market is poised to reach US$4.24 billion by 2028, representing a compound annual growth rate of 6.33%. This growth may indicate that Indonesia's furniture market is growing and that the country's raw materials are becoming more high-quality.
Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, added that IFEX 2025 provides a grand stage for Indonesian designers and artisans to showcase their best works and connect with international buyers, fostering new business opportunities.
"With the addition of the Jakarta International Expo Convention and Theatre area, visitors will have a greater opportunity to meet leading designers, manufacturers, and distributors, as well as enjoy selected products with deeper curation. IFEX 2025 is ready to facilitate the creation of a strong business network and encourage the growth of the Indonesian furniture and craft industry," said Daswar Marpaung.
IFEX 2025 is committed to building a globally competitive furniture and crafts industry in Indonesia.
