Tea is an everyday drink for Indonesians. This soothing drink could be the most common template for a daily routine. However, because this drink is so common, many people do not appreciate the value of tea itself.
If we compare it with European countries, tea is a special drink. Even in England, they dedicate time to enjoy tea with "tea time". For this reason, Teh Walini, a national tea brand since 1896, presents this special experience at Bosscha Space.
Bosscha Space is the first tea restaurant in Bandung that presents a variety of special tea creations such as mocktail tea, classic tea, to artisan tea, all of which basically use tea products from Teh Walini.
We tried some of their mainstay menu. Starting from the tea mocktails like Jazzy Night and Tamara which are very refreshing. Then our favorite menu, artist tea, Royal Highness which warms and soothes the body immediately. These quality tea drinks are supported by a variety of Indonesian and western dishes and snacks. For food, we tried the Mix Platter which can be shared, then Croger, a delicious croissant burger.
Although high-quality teas are often connected to a formal occasions, Bosscha Space offers a very casual tea restaurant. The comfortable design makes this restaurant suitable for hanging out with friends or family. Apart from that, its location in Dago also makes Bosscha Space suitable for working.
A little trivia, the name Bosscha Space is taken from the name Karel Albert Rudolf Bosscha, a Dutch inventor and entrepreneur of German descent who founded the Malabar Tea Plantation in 1896, whose fields are currently being managed by Tea Walini. He is also known in Bandung as one of the founders of the Technische Hoogeschool te Bandoeng or currently the Bandung Institute of Technology, and the pioneer in the construction of the Bosscha Observatory.
