The sky was already painted in dusky purples when we arrived at Bumi Hejo, Kota Baru Parahyangan, but the night was just beginning. At the heart of the Town Center, soft lights spelled out Nite Owl Market like a gentle invitation. The atmosphere buzzed with that rare kind of joy: unhurried, genuine, shared.

This was NOM’s third edition, and with a theme called Imagine Nation, it quickly proved that school holidays weren’t just for kids. All around, the crowd mirrored the spirit; parents, teens, couples, little ones with face paint still fresh on their cheeks. In the center garden, two attractions stole the show: Atomix, with its giant bubble play, and Rona Rana, a glow-in-the-dark face painting corner. Together, they turned the park into a glowing playland.

Wandering further, rows of vibrant booths stretched in every direction. Handcrafted goods, cute plushies, colorful trinkets, everything felt curated to surprise and delight. From trendy fashion finds to hands-on workshops like DIY ice cream slime and crochet amigurumi dolls, the creative energy was contagious. It was the kind of place where both kids and adults instinctively slow down, point things out, and say, "Let’s try that one!"
As the night deepened, the market’s heartbeat grew stronger, led by the aroma of food. There was something for every craving: crispy pork belly with rich Thai-style aroma from Onlyporks, fresh salmon sushi rolls from Just Salmon, classic tofu, spicy gehu, and soy milk from Tahu Yun-Yi, and sweet, buttery popcorn from Sugarays. The drink scene didn’t fall short either. Qaca Coffee, a warm and aromatic coffee bar, served smooth espresso, baked pastries, and savory pizza.

Delapanrasa brought in fresh es puter, perfectly sweet and creamy. Bingxue offered its always-favorite soft ice creams and colorful drinks. Igotchaa drew eyes with sakura-inspired beverages and shiny tanghulu imported straight from Japan. Enjoy Thai Tea gave a comforting hit of fragrant, full-bodied Thai tea. And Eskalasi x EMH Bakeshop served fresh iced coffee paired with cranberry cream cheese baked bread—warm, soft, and delightfully aromatic.

There was space to sit, relax, and just enjoy. Every corner had a rhythm of its own—laughter, music, the soft rustle of people walking past. And just when we thought the night couldn’t offer more, fireworks lit up the sky. People stood still, arms around loved ones, faces aglow. Children pointed upward; couples leaned in closer. It was a brief, beautiful pause, one of those moments that binds a crowd.
To close the night, a large screen flickered on and people settled in for a community movie screening. With drinks in hand and snacks on their laps, the crowd eased into a slower rhythm, bathed in light and laughter.

Word is, Nite Owl Market runs from June 26–29 and July 3–6. If imagination needs a home, this is where it belongs. Come for the food, the fun, or the fireworks, but most of all, come for the feeling you’ll take home.
