BritCham Indonesia’s Talent HUB has concluded a highly insightful series, The Gen Z Conundrum Series - Acquiring, Developing, and Retaining the Best Gen Z Talent, aimed at addressing key talent management challenges in Indonesia. This series, included three webinars and conclude with in-person workshop at LSPR Sudirman Campus, highlighted findings from BritCham Confidence Index 2024, identifying Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Talent Retention as critical challenges.
As Gen Z emerged as a vital asset to companies in the digital, AI, and creative sectors, the series explored effective strategies for navigating this dynamic transition. Veejay Madhavan, CEO and Founder of Oulbyz, led each sessions, begin with an overview of Gen Z’s, especially the impact on the ASEAN. “24% of ASEAN’s population is Gen Z, and by 2025, 1 in 4 employees will belong to this generation,” noted Veejay in the initial webinar.
The second webinar delved into actionable strategies for developing and retaining Gen Z employees. Veejay discussed the importance of "Skilling to Scaling" cultures and adaptive leadership styles that align with Gen Z’s preferences for creativity, autonomy, and supportive environments.
The series was conclude with an in-person workshop, moderated by Dea Meitry, Co-chair of BritCham Talent HUB and Principle of Page Executive, focusing on how AI technology being used in talent management. “There are five general uses of AI in talent management, such as Recruitment Automation, Employee Experience Enhancement, Performance Management, Employee Retention Management, and Diversity and Inclusion” stated Veejay.
