Shangri-La Jakarta proudly joined the global movement for environmental action by observing Earth Hour. The hotel dimmed its lights and hosted a special event to raise awareness about energy conservation and environmental sustainability on 23 March 2024, from 8 to 9pm.
The guests gathered at the hotel's Swing Garden to participate in the Earth Hour event, which was attended by approximately 50 people, including parents and children. Featuring a captivating storytelling performance, with tales of environmental care that can start from small things, the storyteller enchanted the audience with melodies and Ventriloquist performances, creating a memorable and inspiring experience for all participants. This storytelling performance featured the skilled storyteller Resha Rashtrapatiji, commonly known as Kak Resha.
Celebrating Earth Hour with such a special event was truly thrilling for us. Through storytelling, we aimed to engage our guests in conversations about the importance of preserving our planet and taking action to combat climate change.
The event was supported by What's New Jakarta as a media partner and H&M Indonesia, who provided special giveaways to promote sustainable practices among attendees.
Shangri-La Jakarta remains committed to environmental stewardship and looks forw ard to continuing its efforts to promote sustainability in the community.
