Looking at the calendar, this invitation is (not for the first time) a little different from our “standard” outreaches to the AmCham Services Committee membership, because the date we reserved (March 27), in order to maintain the bi-monthly rhythm of the information exchange we are so well known for, happens to fall right in the middle of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
However, over the years, actually decades, we have been gathering around that long table to learn more from each other, about the business environment all of us are committed to, we have also managed to creatively address the needs of those friends who are following their puasa commitments, pretty much without any complications.
We have thus, in solidarity with those participants fasting during the holy month, arranged that instead of the usual breakfast, everybody will receive a “snack box”, to be taken home or the office and enjoyed when appropriate, without any problems.
For potential newcomers to our services gathering, we do not only provide a great opportunity to meet and exchange business cards with other members, we are also privileged to listen to the latest updates - experiences, problems, expectations - across the broadest possible services spectrum in the country.
We tend to get input from banking, insurance, the security sector, real estate, tax advisers, the hospitality sector, moving companies, Information technology experts, colleagues representing the educational environment, manufacturing, distribution, the health sector, the list goes on, and is rounded out with specific input from the US Embassy as well as the AmCham office.
It is expected that all participants will provide a brief, concise presentation, reflecting their expertise, and that they will, at the end of the session, share a short, written summary of their input, which will be incorporated into the minutes, which are highly valued, at all levels, including regional and ultimately head offices.
Please be so kind to block March 27, from 08:00 to 09:30 AM for your participation in the AmCham Services meeting. Information regarding the location of the session will be provided nearer the time, following our standard security practices, from the AmCham office. (But the location will, once again, be no surprise for our regular members).
Finally, we will take the temperature of the environment we are committed to which, in addition to all the great support the AmCham office provides the committee, is of additional value for our/your operations, as well as the respective head offices.
