The Westin Jakarta presents yet another art exhibition, this time featuring a young and talented Indonesian artist, Kemal Suhaya. Organized by Siji Art Management, the art exhibition will display surrealism paintings with the main theme ‘Imaginary Realms: A Dialogue of Emotions & Fantasies’ at the hotel’s Champagne Lounge, from 13 September to 30 October 2024.
One of Kemal’s paintings, titled ‘Constellations of Stars’ will be auctioned to fund the third edition of Westin Street Idol, a platform for potential street musicians to express their music skills as aligned with Marriott International Serve360 pillars, ‘Nurture’ and ‘Serve Our World’. Pre-screened participants will join the audition of Westin Street Idol 3 at The Westin Jakarta’s Denpasar Room on Tuesday, 17 September 2024. This year is an ode to both creators, performers and listeners uniting through medium of self-expression.
Born in a family of artists, Kemal Putra Suhaya is an emerging artist who is currently studying at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. His previous exhibitions include ‘Imagi[nation] Resurrection’ at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, ‘Soul For The Fine Arts’ at Pendhapa Art Space, Yogyakarta, ‘Escape to’ at SOTA Gallery in Singapore and ‘Knock the Propaganda’ at NAFA Singapore. As a young artist, he chooses self-reflection as a source of creative inspiration, hoping to awaken new hearts and energy in those around him.
