A series of activities towards the 50th anniversary of the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel have started to be prepared now on. Besides doing gradual renovation, Grand Sahid Jaya is ready to welcome this year's Ramadan.
After three years of experiencing a period of limited mobility due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year Grand Sahid Jaya fully prepared breaking the fast. One of them is the "Berbuka Bersama (Breaking the Fast Together)" program which carries the "Street Food Festival" concept.
The Grand Sahid Jaya’s Executive Chef, Chef Rofik Maulana, takes inspiration from the menus presented based on memories while traveling during Ramadan where there are lots of places selling simple dished but many flavored ones.
“Berbuka Bersama” presents the experience of breaking the fast in a month with 100 buffet menus that shift every day consisting of a variety of Indonesian, Peranakan, and Cantonese specialties. These menus can be relished indoors and outdoors, and some of the menus are even served fresh and live-cooked by Grand Sahid Jaya's top chefs.
