Opening its first store in Singapore in 2014 in the tranquil neighborhood of Holland Village, Chip Bee Garden, Sunday Folks quickly gained widespread recognition as an artisanal dessert café. Its meticulously crafted menu includes freshly churned ice creams, delectable freshly baked Belgian waffles, and unique boutique cakes and confections. At its core, Sunday Folks is dedicated to preserving the art of dessert-making, passionately creating handmade delights and beverages for all to savor and relish. In the home country, aside from the Holland Village store, Sunday Folks can also be found in ION Orchard.

“Sunday Folks is about a dining experience that reflects a sincere desire to deliver only the best possible desserts to every guest, where every day feels like a Sunday. That is what Sunday Folks is all about. We want to share the experience, the happiness, the celebration of Sunday Folks around the world starting from Indonesia,” said Wan Chin, Co-Founder of Sunday Folks.

In partnership with Upserve, Sunday Folks proudly unveils its Indonesian store, situated in the vibrant Cipete district of South Jakarta. This location was thoughtfully selected due to its reminiscent qualities of the original Sunday Folks store in Holland Village, Singapore, where the seamless integration of commercial and residential areas created a harmonious community.

Embracing the same spirit that defines Sunday Folks in Singapore, the Indonesian store is eager to become an integral part of and contribute to the local community.

To do so, Sunday Folks has joined hands with SukkhaCitta for a striking fabric installation within the store, championing ethically sourced Indonesian fabrics. Additionally, Sunday Folks proudly features a custom blend of Indonesian coffee beans from Coffeetorium and locally procured ingredients such as cheeses from Mazaraat Artisan Cheese and tea for their signature Earl Grey Lavender ice cream from Havilla Gourmet Tea. It further solidifies Sunday Folks’ commitment to support and showcase Indonesia's rich offerings.

Sunday Folks' artisanal ice cream finds its inspiration in the cozy confines of their Creamier Toa Payoh, Singapore kitchen. The irresistibly creamy texture and delightful flavor of freshly churned ice cream, as it gently emerged from the ice cream chamber, is the driving force behind every Sunday Folks creation. Three years of dedicated development have culminated in the birth of Sunday Folks.

Every variation of Sunday Folks' ice cream is carefully made in small batches, each boasting a unique recipe tailored to its flavor, not using any premixes or artificial flavorings, and preservatives. The devoted pastry team at Sunday Folks utilizes premium ingredients and all natural fruit purees for the daily production of their ice creams. Crafted only upon order, this mixture is carefully churned through a non-pressurized gravity feed chamber, preserving the richness and quality of that iconic swirl in their fresh ice creams. Although the look is often mistaken for soft serve, the luxurious taste of Sunday Folks' ice creams are a testament to their exceptional quality.

Sunday Folks' flawlessly handcrafted menu draws inspiration from captivating tales and flavors globally. Be it the elusive single-origin cacao sourced from Indonesia or the artisanal sea salts painstakingly gathered by skilled salt-makers in England, each ingredient ignites their unwavering dedication to reviving the art of dessert craftsmanship. Their exceptional offerings are prepared in small batches, free from preservatives, and infused with an abundance of love and pride.

Sunday Folks presents various signature ice cream creations including their Earl Grey Butterscotch Parfait and their Nasi Lemak Parfait. To make it more interesting, Sunday Folks will also present ice cream petits gâteaux like the Indonesian-inspired Es Teler and refreshing Yoguberry.

Aside from their signature ice creams and confections, the Sunday Folks menu also features all-day brunch items and tapas such as their Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Waffle with Maple Glaze, Singapore Chilli Crab Cake and Golden Mantou, and Kueh Pie Tie. You can also indulge in their dessert-inspired cocktails such as the Pink Floyd - a refreshing concoction of housemade strawberry sorbet and lavender infused martini, and Martabak, which features a Wiesman butter-washed whiskey.

From freshly churned homemade ice creams, to a delectable selection of handcrafted sweets and cakes that are made fresh daily in our on-site kitchen, to a tasty all-day brunch menu, plus interesting dessert cocktails, Sunday Folks invites guests to take part in their celebration of passion, love, and commitment to handmade treats and good food.
