With the growing concern for sustainable living, where lifestyles aim to minimize negative impacts on the environment to enhance human well-being, de Braga by ARTOTEL presents an art exhibition in collaboration with MOHOI, reflecting this trend.

MOHOI, short for Morotai Home Indonesia, is an Indonesian design company specializing in art that promotes sustainable living. They utilize eco-friendly materials and are deeply committed to empowering local communities across the Indonesian archipelago. MOHOI provides innovative modern designs that respect local traditions and craftsmanship, contributing to the cultural sustainability of Indonesia.

The concept of MOHOI was first envisioned by Rosyid Akhmadi, the founder and designer, in 2013. Starting with intensive research on sustainable and environmentally friendly materials alongside Indonesian and Japanese researchers, Akhmadi became interested in indigenous Indonesian materials and their deeper processing and structural calculations with detailed futuristic designs by 2015. This endeavor not only aims to position Indonesia as a country with sustainable work practices and materials but also touches upon and mobilizes humanitarian aspects.

MOHOI's artwork is diverse, ranging from three-dimensional rattan art to hand-tufted rugs, collaborating with numerous local Indonesian artists such as Darbotz, Arkiv Vilmansa, Agugn, Tempa Yogya, Indiguerillas, Mangmoel, and Dwi Antono Roby. Recently, MOHOI collaborated with French designer Sarah Chevillard to renew their rattan artworks. According to Rosyid, collaborations are essential for continuously exploring creative ideas and developing the functionality and design of each Morotai Home Indonesia product.
