Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago held a Summer Course: Sustainable Business Development (SBD) 2023 event which took place in Meeting Room Bougenvil 1 and 2. Summer Course participants are expected to be able to contribute in the future to environmental sustainability like the program currently being implemented by Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago together with Food Bank Bandung, namely the "Sustainable Business Development Related to the Circular Economy Green Industry for Digital Information" program.
Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago introduces sustainability initiatives by J.W. Marriott's own sustainability practices include preventing and reducing food waste in Hotel culinary teams, and positive social, economic and environmental impacts. By collaborating and presenting materials in turning food waste into profit, collecting food, and sharing food with Food Bank Bandung. Apart from participating with Food Bank Bandung regarding food waste and food sharing, Courtyard by Marriott Bandung Dago management has also implemented the Eco Green program in every operation.
These include avoiding the use of plastic, replacing plastic bottles with glass bottles, creating a biophonic garden, reducing paper use by using applications in document operations and making your own compost from leftover fruit and vegetables in the kitchen. With this event, it is hoped that environmental conservation programs can continue and be practiced in all fields and communities.
