There is something special about enjoying live music surrounded by greenery, especially when the Bandung air starts to cool down in the evening. This was the atmosphere at Gaia Music Festival (GMF) 2026, held at the Amphitheatre of The Gaia Hotel Bandung on August 14 and 15.

Celebrating its fifth edition, GMF returned with the theme “Music for All”, bringing together a diverse lineup of musicians across two days. More than just the performances, however, the combination of music, nature, and a relaxed atmosphere made the festival feel like a different kind of weekend experience.
Music in the Middle of Nature
Set in the Lembah Bandung area, the Amphitheatre provided a beautiful backdrop for the festival. As the afternoon turned into evening, the cooler air and surrounding greenery made it easy to settle in and simply enjoy the music.

The first day brought Littlefingers, Keubitbit, Teddy Adhitya, and RAN, with each artist creating a different atmosphere. Teddy Adhitya's soulful and intimate set suited the laid-back surroundings, while RAN brought a more energetic mood that had the audience singing along to familiar songs.

The second day continued with Karimata feat. Tiara Effendy, Adikara, GIGI Jazz Project, and Love Is. From jazz and fusion to pop and more experimental sounds, the lineup kept the experience varied without feeling overwhelming.
Don't Miss the Endless Stage
Beyond the main amphitheatre, GMF also had the Endless Stage, located along the hotel's iconic Endless Stairs. The more intimate stage featured Bass G feat. Song Brothers across both days.

The setting was arguably part of the attraction. The Endless Stairs lead visitors through the hotel's green landscape, passing the koi pond and continuing towards the pool and waterfall. With music playing along the way, it became a nice spot to slow down and enjoy the surroundings between main-stage performances.
A Relaxed Festival Experience
What stood out about Gaia Music Festival was how naturally the music blended into its surroundings. Rather than feeling like a conventional concert venue, The Gaia Hotel Bandung became part of the experience, with its greenery and open-air spaces creating a more relaxed setting.

And that made the “Music for All” theme feel fitting. There was no single genre defining the festival, and visitors could enjoy it in their own way—whether singing along to familiar songs, discovering different musical styles, or simply spending an evening outdoors with good music.
With two days of varied performances, intimate moments, and Bandung's lush landscape as the backdrop, Gaia Music Festival 2026 offered a refreshing way to spend the weekend: good music, good atmosphere, and plenty of room to simply enjoy the moment.
