A Staycation Made Easy at éL Hotel Bandung
Traveling with a little one has a funny way of changing what makes a hotel stay enjoyable. A convenient location is important, but so are the little things—a playground nearby during check-in, a swimming pool for the kids, and dining options that mean you don't have to get back in the car every time someone gets hungry.
That was the kind of ease we appreciated during our recent family stay at éL Hotel Bandung. Instead of filling our schedule with places to visit, we let the hotel become part of the staycation itself, with plenty of time to play, eat, relax, and explore Bandung at our own pace.
An Easy Start to Our Stay
Our stay started with a warm welcome from the hotel team, while our little one immediately spotted the Kids Playground on the Ground Floor. Having it right beside the lobby was surprisingly convenient. While we handled the check-in, our little one already had something to keep busy with. Just beside the playground is éL Shop, a mini market where guests can pick up snacks, drinks, and everyday essentials—another handy convenience when traveling with a child.

While our little one played, we settled in for lunch at Solarium Café & Bar. We ordered Pindang Salmon and Ayam Sereh Nasi Daun Jeruk, along with a Matcha Latte and Virgin Mojito. It was a relaxed start to the stay, without having to rush anywhere.

A Spacious Room for Family Time
For this stay, we checked into the Merdeka Suite, and the spacious layout immediately made sense for a family. Along with the bedroom, the suite has a living area and dining table, giving us plenty of room to spend time together without feeling confined to one space.

For families looking for other options, éL Hotel Bandung also offers room types such as the Merdeka Executive and Condotel Studio, among others, depending on the space and setup you need.

Exploring Bandung at Our Own Pace
One of the things we enjoyed about the hotel was its convenient location. In the evening, we simply strolled towards Braga, Asia Afrika, and Alun-Alun Bandung. With the warm afternoon sun and a gentle breeze, it was an easygoing family walk, with plenty of opportunities to stop for local bites and take in the streets and architecture that make this part of Bandung so enjoyable.

Afterwards, we returned to the hotel for dinner at Pakuan Café. We ordered Korean Bibimbap and Buntut Sapi Bakar, accompanied by Milk Tea Jelly and Ice Peach Tea. After a day out, having dinner without needing to head back into the city was exactly what we needed.
A Relaxed Morning
The next morning, we started the day with a little movement. While our little one enjoyed the swimming pool, we had the opportunity to workout at the Fitness Area on the 3rd Floor.
The swimming pool is spacious, with a kids' pool and a heated pool, making it easy for both children and parents to enjoy some time in the water. Not far from the pool and fitness area is Masjid Al Mubaligh, also on the 3rd Floor. Clean and well-maintained, it provides a comfortable space for guests to pray during their stay.

By the time we checked out, we realised that our stay had been less about having a packed itinerary and more about simply enjoying time together. For us, that's what made éL Hotel Bandung work as a family staycation. With family-friendly facilities, spacious room options, on-site dining, and a convenient location near some of Bandung's most iconic areas, you can do as much—or as little—as you want, and still come away feeling refreshed.
