In the vibrant development of art in the city of Bandung, de Braga by ARTOTEL – Bandung presents an exhibition titled "Jajar Wanci," which can be enjoyed by guests in the lobby and meetspace foyer of de Braga by ARTOTEL from January 10 to February 29, 2024.
In this collaborative exhibition of Jajar Wanci, six talented artists from Bandung have introduced: Rangga Maulana Koto, Edwina Rismayanti, Widi Wardani, M. Nashrullah, Galih Hermawan, and Richard Williem. Anton Susanto has been appointed as the curator for this group exhibition titled Jajar Wanci, where the six artists respond to the concept of time through various perspectives, mediums, techniques, materials, and approaches in their works.
The latest art exhibition, "Jajar Wanci: Realitas Pararel Dalam Masa (Parallel Realities in Time)," presents unique ideas surrounding retro-futurism. Retro-futurism encompasses the distinctive visual concepts from the 70s to the 90s, while futurism relates to visions of the future. The artists in this exhibition explore the combination of these two concepts, responding to questions about time and presenting visual works that bring forth parallel realities in the present. Jajar Wanci invites the audience to enjoy a unique visual experience, creating a bridge between the past and the future.
