Monomono, a Nikkei-styled restaurant located at The Gaia Hotel Bandung, offers a special dining experience with the collaborative culinary event titled "Kitchen Duet." This program is held annually and features talented guest chefs collaborating with Head Chef Juan Carlos from Monomono to present a new culinary experience with various interesting and unique dishes.
The first installment of this collaboration showcases Chef Victor Taborda from Sudestada, an Argentine restaurant in Jakarta known for its grill menu. The inaugural "Kitchen Duet" took place at Monomono Restaurant in The Gaia Hotel Bandung on October 14, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The special "Kitchen Duet" meal features a menu comprising five dishes and is complemented by a selection of wines sponsored by PT My Fellow Lucky Vino and premium wagyu products from Global Pertama.
Starting with Picada for sharing, consisting of homemade cold cuts, Argentine chorizo, provoleta cheese, and lemon bread paired with Altavista Vineyard Serenade Malbec 2017 wine. After the delicious appetizers, guests enjoy Angus Nigiri – Entrana beef slices, quail eggs, chalaquita, quinoa seeds, and rocoto sauce.
The third dish is Pulpo, grilled octopus marinated with anticucho sauce, a variety of vegetables, huancaina sauce, and cassava chips, paired with Altavista Terroir Selection Malbec 2019 wine.
Next is Parilla for sharing, featuring three premium beef cuts (ribeye, flank, and picanha), served with potato salad, onsen eggs, and chimichurri sauce.
To complete this dining experience with a sweet touch, there is 3 Leches with vanilla sponge cake, milk sauce, and chantilly, paired with Altavista Red Blend 2018 wine, and alfajor, a traditional Argentine dish with dulce de leche.
Available at a net price of Rp848,000, this event offers an extraordinary culinary experience, with two talented chefs combining their skills to create delicious dishes with unique Argentine and Nikkei flavors.
