de Braga by ARTOTEL is once again holding a contemporary art exhibition featuring artist Rangga Maulana Koto, with the theme "Minorhythm." This marks Rangga's first solo exhibition. "Minorhythm" is an art piece that combines visual elements with the deep resonance of the language of minority expression.
In this exhibition, visitors are presented with visual works that offer open interpretations formed from two main concepts. First, "minorhythm" emerges from the extended language of expression derived from minorities, voices from the margins, or the marginalized. Second, "minorhythm" is borrowed from diatonic tones in modern music, which generally have a somber, deep, and mysterious quality. These two key points provide a path to delve deeper into the artist's creative process—what, who, and how Rangga's art takes shape. Rangga explores canvas materials through acrylic paint using specific techniques that form elements of lines, spatial depth, typography, and color blends that define each piece's title.
Reza Farhan, General Manager of de Braga by ARTOTEL, explained, “In line with the hotel's vision and mission, which promotes art and botany, de Braga by ARTOTEL is open and ready to facilitate collaborations with local contemporary artists.
