
In honour of Batik Day, Pullman Bali Legian Beach proudly hosted Pullman Artist Arena: Batik Beyond Borders. Recognized by UNESCO in 2009 as part of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Batik embodies craftsmanship, symbolism, and identity that is deeply intertwined with Indonesian culture. The event transcended boundaries, blending art, fashion, dance, music, and design into a spectacular evening that celebrated the timeless beauty of Batik while embracing contemporary creativity.

The event began with an intimate Batik Workshop led by renowned Indonesian painter Zulham Damanik (ZD), who guided participants in creating Batik-inspired art on canvas. Guests took home not only their artwork but also ZD’s personal signature, making the experience both memorable and meaningful as it bridged cultural heritage with contemporary artistry.

As the evening unfolded in the Alun-Alun Garden, audiences enjoyed a vibrant performances and showcases. Naluri Manca, the award-winning Indonesian dance group and first-place winner of Amazing Dance Indonesia 2024, delivered dynamic choreography blending tradition with modern expression. International fashion flair was added by Lenny Hartono Management, featuring models who have graced international stages from New York Fashion Week to Miss Teenager Universe 2024. Fashion houses Allus Bali and Cap Bali presented exclusive Batik collections, beautifully enhanced by the artistry of Sari Kayana Makeup Artist, a highly respected figure whose expertise added elegance and refinement to every presentation. The atmosphere was further enriched with live music, dynamic performances, and artistic collaborations.
More than a showcase, Batik Beyond Borders stood as a living expression of culture and community, reaffirming Pullman Bali Legian Beach’s mission to serve as a cultural ambassador.
