Jumeirah Bali Appoints Charles Kneipp as General Manager

Jumeirah Bali has appointed Charles Anthony Kneipp as General Manager, effective 1 July 2026. Bringing more than 40 years of international hospitality experience across Asia, Europe, Russia and Australia, Charles will oversee the resort’s operations, guest experience, commercial strategy, and colleague development, while guiding its continued evolution as a distinctive expression of Jumeirah’s Arabian hospitality, Hindu-Javanese heritage and Balinese culture.

Charles joins Jumeirah Bali from Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, Bali where he served as General Manager for more than 12 years. During his tenure, he oversaw all aspects of the resort’s operations, guest experience, and commercial performance, developing an extensive understanding of Bali’s hospitality landscape.

Originally from Australia, Charles began his hospitality career as a chef in the United Kingdom. His career later took him across Australia, Russia, China, and Indonesia, where he progressed from culinary operations into food and beverage leadership and hotel management. He has held senior leadership positions with Belmond, St. Regis, Westin, and Sheraton.

Recognised for his hands-on and inclusive leadership style, Charles combines strong commercial acumen with a commitment to operational excellence and team development. At Jumeirah Bali, he will focus on empowering colleagues to deliver service with consistency, warmth, and genuine care.

Looking ahead, Charles will guide the next phase of Jumeirah Bali’s guest offering, building upon its dining, wellbeing and cultural experiences while preserving the distinctive sense of place that defines the resort. His leadership will support the property’s growth and strengthen its position within Jumeirah’s global portfolio.
