Marking its fourth anniversary, Kappa Senses Ubud reaffirmed its commitment to Bali’s environment and communities through a mangrove tree planting initiative at Wana Segara Kertih, Kedonganan, Bali, on 12 September 2026.
The initiative forms part of the resort’s commitment to plant 4,000 trees across Bali throughout 2026, turning its anniversary milestone into an opportunity to give back to the island and support long-term environmental conservation.
The mangrove planting brought together the Kappa Senses Ubud team, government representatives, local community members, travel partners, banking partners, educational institutions, foundations and other supporting organisations. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to protecting Bali’s natural environment while strengthening partnerships with the communities and stakeholders connected to the island.
Mangrove ecosystems play an important role in maintaining healthy coastal environments. They provide habitats for marine and terrestrial species, help protect shorelines from erosion and contribute to the resilience of coastal ecosystems.
Through its 4,000-tree commitment, Kappa Senses Ubud seeks to contribute to these efforts while encouraging greater awareness of the importance of environmental stewardship.

One shared hope for tomorrow.” The anniversary initiative was attended by representatives from government institutions, conservation and community organisations, banking and travel partners, educational institutions and other supporting organisations. Among those present were Santi Triana, General Manager of Kappa Senses Ubud, who joined the initiative alongside Bapak I Putu Agus Juliartawan, Head of UPTD TAHURA Ngurah Rai, or representative; Bapak I Nyoman Sunarta, Head of the Wana Segara Kertih Fishermen’s Group; and Ibu I Gusti Ayu Laxmy Saraswaty, S.S., M.Hum., Head of the Denpasar City Social Service.
The gathering also welcomed partners from the banking sector, including Bapak Dadi Supriyadi, Branch Manager of BTN KC Denpasar; Bapak Welfrid Sihite, DBM Business of BTN KC Denpasar; Ibu Yasmin, Funding Head of BTN KC Denpasar; Bapak Adrianto Caesarea, The Vice President of Transaction Banking Sales, VC & Implementor Head XI PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk and Bapak Febri Priatama, Head of Bank Mandiri Benoa Branch, or representative.

Bapak I Nyoman Sunarta, Ketua Wana Segara Kertih Fishermen’s Group, highlighted the scale of Kappa Senses Ubud’s contribution to the area, stating:
“As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, Kappa Senses Ubud is contributing 4,000 trees to the Wana Segara Kertih area. This represents one of the largest tree-planting contributions to the area to date.”
The initiative reflects Kappa Senses Ubud’s broader approach to corporate social responsibility, where environmental action is combined with collaboration and community participation. It was supported by 139 volunteers, whose collective participation reflected the strong spirit of collaboration and shared commitment to making a meaningful contribution to Bali’s environment.
For the resort, the fourth anniversary was therefore not only a celebration of its journey since opening, but also an opportunity to look ahead and reinforce its commitment to responsible hospitality.
