Mövenpick Bali celebrates Heartist Gratitude Week with wellness, family, and community programs, appreciation, and heartfelt hospitality culture.

At Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, the dedication shown by its “heartists” — staff members who bring warmth, creativity and passion to every guest experience — is truly the heart of the resort. In recognition of their ongoing commitment and outstanding effort, the resort has organised a series of events designed to give back in a way that is thoughtful, fun and deeply appreciated.

From the first week of October, the resort marked Heartist Gratitude Week, where the team was invited to join activities that combined wellness, culture and giving. On the first afternoon, the group gathered for a barefoot walk along Muaya Beach, a moment to breathe deeply, connect, and let the ocean breeze clear the mind. On the second day the celebration moved indoors to Akasa Ballroom for a lively Heartist Carnival. Staff took part in a batik fashion show, enjoyed complimentary services such as nail art, male haircuts, shoulder massages and reflexology, recharged with refreshing smoothies at the hydration bar and had their shoes cleaned, a gesture of appreciation for the miles walked each day in service of others. The third day honoured the theme of giving back with a blood donation drive followed by a special canteen menu hosted by leadership and ended with a session of Yoga Nidra and guided meditation in the ballroom, the afternoon a yoga session offered a moment of quiet renewal and reflection to close the week in mindful gratitude.

Later in the month, the resort organised a Heartist Outing to Waterbom Bali, launching two days of laughter, relaxation and shared team moments against a backdrop of slides and sunshine. The outing offered a refreshing break, allowing the Heartists to unwind and strengthen their bond beyond the workplace. It was a simple yet meaningful reminder that every moment of joy shared outside work helps nurture the unity that makes the resort family so strong.

Then came Super Family Day at Akasa Ballroom, where heartists were invited to bring their family members or relatives. The ballroom came alive with laughter as families enjoyed fun games led by an energetic MC, a magic show, and colorful activities such as face painting, bracelet making, balloon art, and a lively game corner for the little ones. The event was a beautiful reminder that behind every dedicated Heartist is a circle of family and loved ones who share in their journey, and at Mövenpick Bali, their happiness matters just as much.

This contributor spirit was reinforced during the Third Quarter Townhall 2025 – Spooktacular Townhall, where business updates met creative flair in a best costume contest and generous door prizes that reflected the company’s appreciation for the team’s ongoing efforts. The resort also celebrated heartists’ birthdays from July through October 2025, turning moments of individual milestone into shared recognition.

The spirit of care extended further into the community and the environment through two meaningful initiatives. In mid-October, Mövenpick Bali joined the Accor Hotels Bali Lombok Tree Plantation Project, in collaboration with KTH (Kelompok Tani Hutan) Tapis at Desa Angkah, Selemadeg Barat, Tabanan. The project aims to plant trees that support local honey production, helping to sustain bee populations, strengthen local agriculture, and nurture the environment for future generations.

Later in the month, the resort took part in Kilo of Kindness initiative, a heartfelt program that has been running for 10 years. This year, Mövenpick Bali dedicated its efforts to support Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan (YPK) Bali, a foundation that empowers individuals with physical disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives. Heartists were encouraged to donate essential items such as toiletries, school supplies, toys, and gently used clothes, small contributions that bring comfort and hope to others in need.

Expressing her gratitude, Renny Suarini, Director of People & Culture at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, shared, “Our Heartist means so much to us. Everything we do comes from a simple wish, that is to let them know how meaningful they are. Their care and dedication touch our guests every day, and we want them to feel that same care in return. This October has been a time to give back from the heart, to our Heartists, our community, and the environment around us.”

General Manager Jan Kroeckel added, “At Mövenpick, we believe that great hospitality begins with a happy and fulfilled team. Our Heartists are the soul of this resort, their warmth, creativity, and commitment inspire everything we do. By celebrating them and extending that same spirit of care to others, we continue to live out the true meaning of hospitality: one that starts from the heart.”

At Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, celebrating together is part of the culture. The events underscore the belief that recognizing hard work and nurturing wellness among staff enhances the guest experience and strengthens the entire resort community. As the heartists continue to exceed expectations, the resort remains committed to building an environment of gratitude, growth and connection.
