Reservations Now Open as Sudamala Resorts Marks the Journey with a Traditional Melaspas Ceremony

Sudamala Resorts is pleased to announce that Sudamala Resort, Ubud will officially welcome guests in October 2026, marking the brand's newest boutique destination in Bali's cultural heart. Reservations are now open through the official Sudamala Resorts website, email, and reservation channels, inviting travelers to be among the first to experience a sanctuary inspired by art, nature, and authentic Indonesian hospitality.

As the resort enters its final stage of preparation, Sudamala Resorts held a Melaspas Ceremony on 29 July 2026. Deeply rooted in Balinese Hindu tradition, the sacred ceremony symbolizes the property's purification and blessing before it welcomes its first guests. More than a customary ritual, Melaspas reflects Sudamala Resorts' respect for Bali's living culture and its commitment to honoring local traditions.

"Opening a new resort is not only about welcoming guests, but it is also about becoming part of the community and embracing the cultural values that make Ubud so special," said I Wayan Suwastana, Commercial Director of Sudamala Resorts. "The Melaspas Ceremony marks an important milestone as we prepare to welcome guests this October, ensuring the resort begins its journey with gratitude, harmony, and positive energy."

Located just five minutes from the iconic Puri Saren Agung (Ubud Palace), Sudamala Resort, Ubud offers easy access to Ubud's renowned temples, galleries, museums, artisan villages, and lush rice terraces. Designed as a contemporary Balinese retreat, the resort celebrates Indonesia's artistic heritage through thoughtful architecture, handcrafted details, and warm, personalized hospitality.

The resort features 46 elegantly appointed accommodations, including Deluxe Rooms, Suites, and Private Pool Villas overlooking a tranquil river valley. Guests will also enjoy distinctive dining experiences at Tambus Restaurant, Tirta Bar, and Tepian Bar, where Indonesian flavors meet contemporary cuisine crafted from locally sourced ingredients and produce from the resort's organic garden.

Completing the experience is Sudajiva Spa, offering holistic wellness rituals inspired by Indonesian healing traditions, while the resort's dramatic valley setting provides a naturally romantic backdrop for weddings, honeymoons, and intimate celebrations.

With its blend of culture, wellness, nature, and boutique luxury, Sudamala Resort, Ubud, invites travelers to discover a deeper side of Bali, one where meaningful experiences and genuine hospitality come together in one of the island's most inspiring destinations.

Reservations are now open through the official Sudamala Resorts website, by email, and via the resort's reservation team.
