Continuing its commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement, Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali hosted another meaningful edition of its signature initiative, “Breakfast for Breakfast (B for B),” at the resort’s Anarasa Restaurant. This heartwarming program brought together 25 students from SLB 1 Badung – a school for children with special needs – along with their teachers, representatives from Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan Bali, and members of the media.
Inspired by the desire to repurpose untaken breakfast entitlements into acts of kindness, “Breakfast for Breakfast” was pioneered by Agung Prawista, Director of Rooms at Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali. The initiative embodies the spirit of “We Make Moments,” turning a simple breakfast into a memorable and joyful experience for underserved communities.
Joining Agung in welcoming the guests was Ana Dewi, Executive Assistant Manager of Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, who emphasized the importance of inclusivity and shared joy in the hospitality industry. “It’s not just about serving breakfast,” she noted, “but about creating a five-star experience that uplifts and inspires.”
With warm smiles and open hearts, the Movenpick Bali team served the children a wholesome breakfast in the welcoming ambiance of Anarasa Restaurant. The morning was filled with laughter, shared stories, and the unmistakable feeling of togetherness.
Echoing this sentiment, Edi Prayitno, representative of SLB 1 Badung, shared his appreciation by saying that the visit was “a warm and memorable experience” for their students. Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri 1 Badung is a public special education school located in the Badung Regency of Bali. The school provides tailored education programs and support services for students with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. With a strong commitment to inclusive learning and personal growth, SLB 1 Badung empowers its students to achieve their fullest potential in a nurturing and respectful environment.
Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan (YPK) Bali, known for its work in supporting children and adults with disabilities across Bali, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the continued collaboration and meaningful support from Movenpick Bali. YPK Bali is a non-profit foundation providing health, rehabilitation, and educational services for individuals with disabilities. Founded in 2001, YPK Bali supports children and adults from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and is a vital force in promoting inclusivity and empowerment in Bali’s community.
“Breakfast for Breakfast” was first introduced in November 2023 and is designed as a recurring program to benefit various communities across the island. Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali reaffirms its commitment to holding similar events in the future, partnering with foundations and social organizations to deliver not only meals but also the feeling of being welcomed, seen, and celebrated.
