With a deep-rooted passion for wine and an appreciation for the artistry of pairing, Suyanto’s arrival marks an exciting new chapter in Jumeirah Bali’s dedication to refined, sensory-driven dining experiences.
Suyanto’s journey began in 2001 at Four Seasons Jakarta, where he was instrumental in shaping The Cellar & The Library, a destination for curated wine and cigar experiences. His innovative approach led to a collaboration with Pacific Cigar, bringing his expertise to an international stage in Hong Kong. To further refine his craft, he travelled to Four Seasons George V in Paris where he immersed in the intricate nuances of old-world vintages and traditional French sommelier techniques. Suyanto later earned the title of Indonesia’s Top Sommelier at the Indonesia Sommelier Competition, organized by the Indonesia Sommelier Association - a milestone that propelled him onto the global stage.
