Last Friday on 25 th October 2024, on a mesmerizing night at Ambar, Mandapa’s iconic bar, guests were transported into a world of jazz, poetry, and creative expression in celebration of the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival 2024. This exclusive event featured Indonesia’s celebrated jazz legend Indra Lesmana, his daughter and multi-talented singer-songwriter Eva Celia, and the soulful saxophonist Joe Rosenberg, all of whom delivered a spellbinding performance that blended music, emotion, and the spirit of literary storytelling.
The evening unfolded under a starlit sky, with each note and lyric beautifully accentuated by Ubud’s serene natural surroundings. Guests were immersed in the harmonious synergy of Indra’s elegant piano, Eva’s rich, soulful voice, and Joe’s smooth saxophone melodies, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of romantic improvisation and rhythmic elegance. Together, these incredible artists crafted an intimate experience that evoked the heart of Bali’s cultural and artistic heritage.
Ambar’s team ensured that the night was as much a culinary experience as a musical one. Guests indulged in bespoke Taru Pramana cocktails, each inspired by the event and crafted from Bali’s finest local ingredients. These creative concoctions enhanced the evening’s sensory journey, with every sip and every note aligning in a celebration of both music and mixology.
