This year's Chinese New Year celebrations at ARYADUTA Bali had a deeper meaning beyond the usual festive glamour. In the spirit of renewal and prosperity, the hotel unveiled remarkable Chinese-themed decorations, crafted entirely from recycled materials — a powerful statement about creativity, collaboration and sustainability.
The stunning installation featured an elegant golden horse and a magnificent Chinese gate and was made from recycled invoice papers and used cardboard boxes, primarily repurposed mineral water cartons, as well as unused metal materials for the structural foundation. The installation is all the more extraordinary given the inspiring cross-departmental collaboration behind it.
The Housekeeping team carefully collected and sorted the recycled paper and cardboard. The Engineering team designed and constructed the solid metal foundation to ensure the installation was stable and secure. Agus Kurniawan from the Kitchen department brought the artistic vision to life, transforming simple recycled materials into an intricate golden horse sculpture and beautifully detailed Chinese gate décor.
This collaborative effort reflects ARYADUTA Bali’s commitment to sustainability and to nurturing talent within the company.
The celebrations continued with a spectacular Chinese New Year dinner held at The Heavens, ARYADUTA Bali’s iconic glass chapel venue. Adorned in luxurious shades of gold and red, the chapel radiated warmth and prosperity, creating a breathtaking ambience for the evening.
Guests were treated to a vibrant cultural programme featuring the traditional Yee Sang ceremony, which symbolises abundance and good fortune; an energetic lion dance performance; and an impressive wu shu showcase. Families gathered to enjoy a lavish all-you-can-eat buffet specially curated for the occasion, sharing joyful moments in a festive atmosphere.
“Chinese New Year is all about togetherness, renewal and prosperity. This year, we wanted to celebrate it in a meaningful way, showcasing both the creativity of our team and our commitment to sustainability. Seeing the different departments collaborate to produce such extraordinary artwork makes me truly proud. It reflects the strong unity and passion within ARYADUTA Bali,” said RM Rendy Prapanca, General Manager of ARYADUTA Bali.
Through this celebration, ARYADUTA Bali has once again demonstrated that festive luxury can go hand in hand with environmental awareness and teamwork, creating beautiful moments for guests and a lasting positive impact.
