On Friday, 21 November 2025, What’s New Bali joined the Safari Themed Appreciation Night hosted by Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa - Handwritten Collection. Created as a warm thank you to media and travel agent partners who continue to support the resort, the event unfolded into a lively blend of creativity and charm. It reminded us that hospitality gatherings can still feel playful, immersive and pleasantly unpredictable. Here’s our story.

We arrived to find the resort's Palace Garden area fully transformed. A cardboard gorilla stood at the entrance, exotic owls posed for photos and friendly handlers carried snakes that made even the bravest guests rethink their courage. Guests went all in on the safari spirit with wide brimmed hats, feathered accessories, khaki vests and crisp white ensembles that looked straight out of an adventure film. A live DJ and percussion filled the night air and created an upbeat jungle ambience.
The event officially kicked off with opening remarks from GM Pierrick Gautier (pictured), who introduced several resort highlights such as Virtual Golf, the Sport Center, Sand Bar upgrades and the expanded garden area. We enjoyed wandering through the setting to take in everything he shared, all while the party energy continued to build around us.
Food quickly took over as the main attraction. The culinary team spoiled everyone with creative east meets west bites such as 18 hour smoked beef brisket sliders, smoked lobster rolls, Chinese baos, roasted duck and a creamy risotto that disappeared in moments. Staff moved through the crowd with trays of fun surprises like salmon macarons, grilled prawns and scallops topped with kimchi sauce. Between the free flow cocktails, fresh juices and whole coconuts, the night stayed refreshing from start to finish.
Performances kept the safari fantasy alive as energetic jungle themed dancers encouraged guests to mingle, take photos and explore every corner of the garden. In the middle of the excitement, the MC led a quick game that sparked playful competition with resort vouchers as tempting prizes, followed by door prizes that lifted the mood even higher. It was a standing party with an upbeat rhythm that never dipped thanks to the lively crowd, tropical ambience and smooth hospitality from the resort team. By the end of the evening, we left convinced that this is a place that knows how to blend elegance with imagination. If this is how they show appreciation, we are more than ready for the next adventure on their event calendar.
