GHD officially introduced its professional stylist education and launch series across four elite salons in Indonesia through the GHD Glam Experience, featuring John Zhang, Education Manager for ghd Asia. The introduction of ghd into these partner salons marks an important milestone for the brand in bringing world-class professional hairstyling technology to Indonesia. ghd tools are now used directly by professional stylists and are available for customers through dedicated retail displays in each salon.
The series began on Monday, 10 November 2025 with a Train the Trainer session held in ghd Indonesia’s office and attended by two senior stylists from Irwan Team Hairdesign and two educators from ghd Indonesia. This session established the foundation for ghd’s education standards in the country, ensuring that ghd’s signature styling techniques and philosophy can be taught and passed on consistently by local trainers.
On Tuesday, 11 November 2025, ghd hosted its first launch event at Irwan Team Hairdesign Jakarta, Pondok Indah Mall. Guests, including KOL, experienced the GHD Glam Experience and witnessed a live styling demonstration by John Zhang using the ghd Chronos. As ghd’s most advanced styler equipped with HD motion-responsive technology, Chronos adapts heat delivery precisely to the user’s movements, resulting in smoother, shinier, and longer-lasting hair.
Throughout the launch and masterclass series, John also introduced two new innovations from the Chronos series, namely the ghd Chronos Curve Grand Tong and the ghd Chronos Max. The Chronos Curve Grand Tong, featuring a 32 mm barrel, creates soft and voluminous waves supported by ultra-zone predictive technology that maintains a consistent temperature of 185 degrees Celsius across the entire surface. The Chronos Max, which features wider plates compared to the standard Chronos, is designed to style long or thick hair more efficiently and with greater speed. Its enhanced HD motion-responsive technology ensures smoother results in a single glide. Together, these tools strengthen the position of the Chronos family as a premium professional styling series.
The education and launch journey continued in Semarang on Wednesday, 12 November 2025 at Lie Kuang Education dan Lie Kuang & Co Hair Atelier, followed by Surabaya on Thursday, 13 November 2025 at Rota Salon. In each city, John Zhang led a masterclass featuring ghd’s signature techniques such as push down curl, water wave, DNA wave and ribbon curl. These techniques were then applied in live styling sessions with KOLs, offering a firsthand experience of ghd tool performance in real salon settings.
The ghd Indonesia tour reached its peak in Bali with a launch event at New Melati Salon on Sunday, 16 November 2025. The series concluded with a final Masterclass on Monday, 17 November 2025, officially marking the end of ghd’s first education and launch program across four major Indonesian cities.
