Experience Bali from above with Fly Bali's helicopter tour over Melasti, GWK, and Bali’s southern coastline for a unique luxury adventure.

Bali is one of those places that never gets old. Or at least, that’s what I used to think until I realized I had only ever experienced it from the ground.

Like most people, my version of Bali was beaches, cafes, and the occasional traffic jam between Canggu and Uluwatu. Beautiful, yes but familiar. Predictable, even. So when I had the chance to experience Bali from above, I didn’t expect it to completely shift my perspective.

It started at the heliport surprisingly smooth, no long waiting time, no overwhelming procedures. There’s something quietly luxurious about how seamless everything feels. No chaos, no rush. Just a calm anticipation building up before takeoff.

And then, within minutes, you’re in the air.

The first thing that hits you isn’t the height it’s the silence. Not literal silence, but a sense of detachment from everything below. The roads, the crowds, the noise  they all fade into something distant.

Flying over the southern coastline, the cliffs of Melasti suddenly feel more dramatic. The ocean looks endless. And when you pass by the iconic Garuda Wisnu Kencana, you realize how massive it actually is something you don’t fully grasp from the ground.

What surprised me the most? It wasn’t intimidating at all.

If anything, it was incredibly smooth. No sudden drops, no overwhelming motion. Just a steady glide that makes you feel like you’re floating rather than flying. I’ll admit—I was slightly nervous before takeoff. But that disappeared almost instantly.

Of course, this isn’t your everyday Bali activity. It’s not something you casually do on a random afternoon. But maybe that’s exactly the point.

This isn’t about ticking off another attraction. It’s about seeing Bali in a way that most people never do.

And once you do, it’s hard to go back to seeing it the same way again.
