There’s a new little spot to unwind in Jimbaran, and it’s all about simple pleasures: good gelato, good coffee, and fresh pastries made with care. El Primo, a brand created by PT Indoguna Utama, has finally opened its Premium Gelato Bar in Bali — a place built on warmth, comfort, and a love for great ingredients.
El Primo has a personal story behind it. The name “El” comes from founder Elizabeth Liman, while “Primo” means premium. It reflects what the brand has believed in from the start:
Indonesian craftsmanship deserves to be celebrated, and it can absolutely stand alongside the best anywhere in the world. Bringing the brand to Bali felt like a natural step. The island has a way of embracing things that feel genuine, and Jimbaran — with its relaxed energy and friendly neighborhood vibe — fits El Primo perfectly. It’s the kind of place where people wander in without a plan and end up staying longer than expected.
The space itself carries a modern tropical feel: soft colors, natural textures, open light, and an atmosphere that feels calm from the moment you walk in. There are 20 seats indoors and 20 outdoors, so you can choose between cool comfort or an open-air corner to enjoy the breeze. One of the nicest touches is the open kitchen and live baking area. You can see pastries being prepared and watch the team work on each batch of gelato — no rush, no fuss, just quiet focus. Light lounge music plays in the background, keeping the atmosphere relaxed and easy.
The menu keeps things simple in the best way possible: Gelato, Coffee, and Pastry. That’s it. No overcomplications. Just things people genuinely enjoy. The signature gelato flavors are a must-try, along with the Tropicana Americana coffee and the pastries made fresh throughout the day. For Bali, the team also created a few exclusive gelato flavors inspired by the island’s tropical character.
In the kitchen is Chef Ferrix, Executive Chef of PT Indoguna Utama. Known for his creative but thoughtful approach, he believes good ingredients speak for themselves — and that philosophy is woven into everything served at El Primo.

Located just minutes from the airport with spacious parking, El Primo Jimbaran is easy to reach and even easier to enjoy. Whether you’re dropping by between errands, meeting a friend, or simply craving something sweet, the place feels effortless. El Primo opens to the public on November 27, 2025, with a small launch gathering for media, influencers, and industry friends. On weekends, guests can look forward to live music and DJ sets, adding a bit of fun to Jimbaran’s evenings.
Open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, El Primo welcomes walk-ins — no reservations needed. With an average spend of Rp 50,000 – Rp 100,000, it’s a treat that feels good without trying too hard. At the end of the day, El Primo simply wants people to leave feeling happy — a little moment of sweetness worth coming back for.
