A milestone for the YUKI family. YUKI Bali, the island’s renowned modern Japanese izakaya, proudly unveils its inaugural Japan takeover. The celebrated Canggu and Uluwatu-based restaurant will join forces with The Bellwood, an iconic Tokyo establishment recognized among The Asia’s 50 Best Bars and The World’s 50 Best Bars.
On 5 February 2025, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. local time, YUKI Bali will bring its innovative Japanese-inspired cuisine to The Bellwood Cave in Tokyo through two of its finest talents.
Yudha Permana, YUKI’s executive chef, will dazzle guests with a menu of signature dishes, including Island Sashimi, prawn tempura, tuna truffle, grilled scallops, grilled wagyu striploin, and more, each masterfully prepared using Japanese fire-cooking techniques.
Meanwhile, Windu Tenaya, YUKI's beverage director, will elevate the experience with a lineup of exquisite cocktails featuring creations like Lychee Lemongrass, Mad Matcha, Nin-Jin, and Pandan Butter.
“This event represents more than just a collaboration; it is a celebration of cultural connection. By introducing Bali’s unique culinary artistry and cocktail culture to Japan, YUKI Bali not only promotes Bali as a culinary destination to the Japanese market but also creates a harmonious fusion of two vibrant traditions. YUKI is humbled to visit Japan, the country whose cuisine has deeply influenced our culinary philosophy,” said Rai Sutama, founder of YUKI Bali.
Nestled on the edge of Tokyo’s trendy Kamiyamacho district, The Bellwood is celebrated for its bold, inventive approach to Japanese cuisine and mixology. Owned by the renowned Atsushi Suzuki, this trailblazing bar is No. 34 on The Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 and No. 89 on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2024, cementing its place as a global standout.
