From Babaghanoush to Baba G’s: A Playful Evolution in Flavor and Identity

Where comfort food meets local flavor — and nothing takes itself too seriously.

Tucked away in the heart of Seminyak, what was once known as Babaghanoush has quietly evolved into something bolder, brighter, and a little more cheeky — introducing Baba G’s, a creative pizza joint inspired by the retro charm of 90s-era pizzerias, reimagined through a Bali lens.

This isn’t just a name change — it’s a shift in energy, attitude, and experience. Baba G’s leans into the fun, the nostalgic, and the menu is full of personality: Sweet Little Roni brings together classic pepperoni with pickled chili and jungle honey, while Six on the Beach turns up the indulgence with six types of cheese, and a touch of local coconut nectar and andaliman pepper. The Babi G — a calzone-style pizza stuffed with Bali’s beloved babi guling, sambal matah, and lawar — is a wild celebration of local flavor. Then there’s The Pants Popper!!, a garlic bread calzone loaded with spaghetti Bolognese and meatballs, made for those who take their cravings seriously.

Beyond pizza, Baba G’s menu introduces fun, casual eats designed to be shared and savored — from crumbed lasagna nuggets to spicy grilled olives, chicken tikka meatballs, and a steak & chips combo with a punchy mushroom sauce. There’s even an omakase-style Chef’s Menu, where guests can hand over the reins and let the team surprise them with off-menu creations and experimental dishes.

Drinks get the same playful treatment. Baba G’s bar mixes up native cocktails and mocktails using Balinese craft spirits and tropical ingredients, alongside natural wines, local beers, and a few cheeky high-end bottle options “for the ballers.”

The vibe? Laid-back, a little loud, and all about good times. Whether you’re dropping in for a personal 10-inch pizza or kicking back with friends over a table full of plates, Baba G’s keeps things casual, creative, and fun.

From Middle Eastern roots to Bali-style pizza parties, the transition from Babaghanoush to Baba G’s is less about leaving something behind — and more about leaning into what feels real, bold, and ready for a good time.
