From the moment we stepped into HUGE, we were swept off our feet by the whimsical yet sophisticated decor. Imagine a chic rendezvous where contemporary flair waltzes with timeless grace. The culinary magic at HUGE comes from Executive Chef Evgeniy Reznikov, a wizard in the kitchen with a penchant for pushing flavor boundaries. With inspiration drawn from both European and Asian culinary traditions and extensive experience at the renowned Share Restaurant in Moscow, Chef Reznikov brings a playful twist to every dish.
A Satisfying, Delectable Feast
During our visit, we opted to try some of the restaurant's delightful seafood-based goodness. Our meal began with the Salad with Crab and Orange, a delightful mix of shredded crab meat, orange segments, cherry tomatoes, and fresh vegetables, all tossed in a flavorful sauce. The sweet and sour combination made it a perfect starter to whet our appetites.
For the main courses, we indulged in the Seafood Linguine, featuring linguine pasta with cherry tomatoes, baby squid, scallops, green mussels, and prawns, all enveloped in a luscious sauce made from chicken stock, parmesan, butter, white wine, and garlic. The mild yet flavorful combination of pasta and fresh seafood was buttery, creamy, and umami-rich—we were tempted to drink up every last drop of the sauce! The Teriyaki Salmon with Risotto was another standout, with a tender slab of salmon glazed with teriyaki sauce atop creamy, buttery risotto. This dish beautifully blended Western and Asian flavors, offering a distinctive culinary experience that honored the authenticity of both cuisines.
The restaurant's array of ocean-based goodness doesn't end there. They also have other fantastic selections in the form of Seafood Platte, Lombok Oysters and Red Snapper Crudo. The signature Red Snapper Crudo was particularly memorable. This dish featured raw red snapper, meticulously sliced and served whole on an ice tray. Each slice was sprinkled with tantalizing spices and accompanied by three kinds of homemade sauces, providing a range of flavors that elevated the fresh, delicate taste of the snapper. The presentation was as impressive as the flavors, making it a true showstopper.
HUGE’s signature dessert, the Mango Cheesecake, is a must-try. This enormous portion of cheesecake was incredibly creamy and refreshing, with the perfect balance of sweet and sour from the mango and the richness from quality cheese. It offered a delightful mix of soft and crunchy textures, making it an excellent palate cleanser.
Our drinks were equally impressive. The Watermelon Lemonade provided a refreshing punch of sour and sweet, combining fresh watermelon, lemon cordial, and ginger ale for a citrusy goodness that perfectly accompanied our meal. The Purple Mix, a blend of green apple, carrot, and beetroot, offered a nutritious and delicious option to complement our dining experience.
The entire menu comes at a very affordable price, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy a satisfying and delectable feast. Whether you are a seafood lover or simply looking to try something new, this restaurant offers a culinary adventure that delights the senses and leaves you wanting more.
