At the beginning of this year, Delonix Hotel Karawang has achieved EarthCheck Silver Certification, marking a significant milestone in its sustainability journey and reflecting the hotel’s approach to embedding sustainability into its daily operations as part of a long-term commitment. Officially received on 27 January 2026, the certification represents a full year of independently verified efforts across environmental management, operational practices, and community considerations, positioning the hotel among hospitality businesses that consistently align responsible practices with everyday operations.
This Silver status represents a progression from the hotel’s EarthCheck Bronze certification in 2025 and is awarded based on continued benchmarking, measurable performance improvements, and annual independent audits under EarthCheck’s global certification framework. The upgrade underscores consistency and accountability, highlighting that the hotel’s sustainability efforts are sustained, monitored, and continuously improved over time.
Over the past year, Delonix Hotel Karawang has undertaken a structured sustainability program guided by EarthCheck’s science based framework. This process included benchmarking and monitoring key operational areas such as energy and water consumption, waste management, carbon emissions, chemical use, community and employee impact. The hotel also implemented a sustainability management system to track performance, identify efficiency opportunities, and integrate responsible practices into daily operations across departments. As a result, sustainability is embedded as part of operational discipline rather than treated as a standalone campaign.
EarthCheck was selected by Delonix as a long term framework due to its independent verification process and tourism specific standards, which emphasize measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
