Bali’s hospitality scene has welcomed another notable change as Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort is no longer operating under the Anantara name. The clifftop property in Pecatu has transitioned into Svanata Uluwatu Bali Resort, introducing a new identity to a resort that has long been part of Uluwatu’s luxury hotel landscape.
Set along the dramatic southern coast of Bali, the resort is known for its sweeping Indian Ocean views, contemporary design and elevated cliffside setting. The property comprises 73 suites and villas, offering guests an intimate base from which to explore Uluwatu and the surrounding Bukit Peninsula.
For years, Anantara Uluwatu was recognised for its distinctive ocean-facing architecture and resort experience, with its location placing guests within easy reach of some of the area's beaches, surf breaks and cultural attractions. Now, the property is entering a new era under the Svanata name.
The transition is already reflected across travel platforms, where the resort is listed as Svanata Uluwatu Bali Resort, although remnants of its former identity can still be found across older online listings and guest reviews.
While the name has changed, the property remains in one of Bali's most sought-after destinations. Uluwatu has continued to evolve into a major luxury hospitality hub, with new hotels, restaurants, beach clubs and lifestyle destinations reshaping the southern coastline.
For returning guests who remember the resort as Anantara Uluwatu, the change marks the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. As Svanata Uluwatu Bali Resort, the property now has a fresh opportunity to establish its own identity in an increasingly competitive corner of Bali.
