The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali invites guests on an extraordinary gastronomic journey to celebrate Balinese New Year with Travelogues of the Archipelago, a remarkable three-night collaboration between Chef Raviel Sidik of Ikan Restaurant and Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa, one of Bali's most celebrated culinary figures. From April 4–6, 2025, at beachfront Ikan, diners will savor a thoughtfully curated menu that honors the island's rich culinary heritage while embracing bold, modern interpretations of classic flavors.

Nestled along the shores of Nusa Dua, Ikan Restaurant has long been a beacon of Indonesian coastal cuisine, where fresh, locally sourced ingredients take center stage. Under the leadership of Chef Raviel Sidik, Ikan's menu is a vibrant tribute to the archipelago's diverse food culture, infused with contemporary techniques and deep respect for tradition.

“We’ve embraced the essence of fire and smoke while honoring our coastal roots. Through locally sourced ingredients and modern techniques, we aim to present a reimagined taste of Indonesia that is both authentic and innovative,” says Chef Raviel.

 

 

This year, Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa, the visionary behind HOME by Chef Wayan, joins the experience, bringing his expertise in Southeast Asian flavors and his deep-rooted passion for Balinese cuisine. A native of Nusa Penida, Chef Wayan honed his craft in world-renowned Michelin-starred restaurants before returning to Bali to champion sustainability and tradition through his award-winning culinary ventures.

“Balinese cuisine is an intricate dance of spice, texture, and history. This collaboration allows us to tell a story through food—one that reflects our heritage while embracing innovation,” shares Chef Wayan.

Guests can anticipate an immersive dining experience featuring the freshest seafood, vibrant spice blends, and indulgent Balinese desserts—all crafted with precision and a deep respect for local ingredients.
