The festive season has finally arrived! Year-end is the most anticipated time for families to go on vacation and celebrate Christmas and New Year. The excitement and traditions to welcome the festive season are always enjoyable and fascinating to experience. This year, The Trans Luxury Hotel is once again hosting the Tree Lighting Ceremony to mark and celebrate the festive season with grandeur, creating an unforgettable year-end holiday atmosphere for guests.
The tradition of the Tree Lighting Ceremony is adapted from the United States as a symbol of peace after the end of the Civil War. The 30th President of the United States, John Calvin Coolidge Jr., and First Lady Grace Coolidge first introduced this celebration, which has now become a routine in the United States to celebrate peace, joy, and togetherness during the Christmas season.
The unique 9-meter tall Christmas tree lighting procession this time is celebrated with the sons and daughters from the Orphanage of the Cahaya Kasih Foundation, accompanied by the melodious and cheerful Christmas songs sung by the St. Angela Choir. St. Angela Choir is well-known nationally and internationally for various achievements, such as winning the 1st place (Gold Medal) in the Children Choir and Folklore categories at The 5th Tokyo International Choir Competition (TICC) 2023, Best Interpretation of Set Piece (Set Piece The Rainbow by Nakanishi Akane) 2023, Grand Prix winner of The 5th Tokyo International Choir Competition 2023, and more.
To add to the joy of welcoming the year-end holiday season, before the Tree Lighting Ceremony, the children from the Orphanage of the Cahaya Kasih Foundation were invited to have fun by playing at Trans Studio Bandung. Various thrilling rides and special year-end shows were enjoyed by the children with full enthusiasm before attending the Christmas tree lighting procession. The Tree Lighting Ceremony was also enlivened by the presence of Santa and special gifts distributed to the children. As a closing event, a dinner was held at The Restaurant to enjoy various special Christmas menu items from the "Joyful Festive" all-you-can-eat buffet dinner, including tempting dishes such as Roasted Traditional Herb Norbest Turkey, Braised Beef Brisket Smothered in BBQ Sauce, Salmon Coulibiac, Roasted Beef Roll with Asparagus Tips, Roasted Duck, Sushi Live Station, Pasta Station, Barbecue Station, Baskin Robbins Ice Cream, and much more.
