Last saturday, Fresco on the 6th floor of Hilton Bandung hosted "A Taste of Italy," an exquisite wine dinner that left guests with a memorable culinary experience. Running from 6 pm to 9 pm, the event was a celebration of fine Italian wines and gourmet dishes.

Supported by The Peak Connoisseur and Dimatique, the evening featured a selection of Italy's finest wines, handpicked by Fresco's Culinary Team to perfectly complement a six-course set menu. The event brought together wine enthusiasts and food lovers for a night of indulgence and sophistication.

Fresco Chef Ari Purnarahmawan led the evening, guiding guests through the six-course menu based on classic and rustic Italian dishes. “Each dish was meticulously curated to enhance the flavors of the wines, and vice versa,” Chef Ari explained. “From the starter to the mouthwatering dessert, and the special surprise praline, we aimed to create a harmony of flavors that would provide an unforgettable dining experience.”

Chef Ari highlighted the evening's standout dish: Braised Short Ribs. “What makes tonight special is our Braised Short Ribs, where the meat is marinated for 24 hours in Italian wine and then slow- cooked for 8 hours to achieve an exceptional texture,” he said.

Chef Ari also emphasized the use of fresh, organic ingredients sourced from the hotel's own rooftop garden. “We take pride in using the freshest ingredients, including cherry tomatoes, basil leaves, fresh rosemary, and fresh thyme, many of which come from our very own garden,” he added. “This not only ensures the highest quality but also supports our commitment to sustainability.”
