Bandung, September 2026 – For the first time in more than a decade, TP Jazz is taking one of its flagship programs beyond The Papandayan Hotel Bandung. This new chapter will begin with TP Jazz Universe: The Greatest Movie Soundtrack, taking place on 4 September 2026 at Mason Grand Ballroom, Mason Pine Hotel, Kota Baru Parahyangan.
More than a change of venue, the move marks a new phase for TP Jazz Management as it expands the reach and impact of its programs. Together with Kota Baru Parahyangan, TP Jazz is taking a strategic step toward building a sustainable music ecosystem that connects music, communities, the creative industry, and tourism through long-term collaboration.
The announcement was made during a press conference attended by TP Jazz Management Founder and The Papandayan General Manager Bobby Renaldi, PT Belaputera Intiland Director Ryan Brasali, and Indonesian jazz maestro Dwiki Dharmawan.
Over the past eleven years, TP Jazz has been known for programs based at The Papandayan Bandung, including The Papandayan Jazz Fest (TPJF), The Papandayan International Online Jazz Competition (TPJC), TP Jazz on The Weekend, and TP Podcast Resonance. Through these programs, TP Jazz has evolved beyond being a festival organizer into a platform that actively creates spaces for collaboration and music development throughout the year.
According to Bobby Renaldi, the expansion to Kota Baru Parahyangan is part of a broader vision for the future of TP Jazz.
"We see that music has the ability to create connections that go beyond the performance stage. After eleven years of growing at The Papandayan, we feel it is time to bring the spirit of TP Jazz into a wider space. This is not simply about moving venues, but about expanding our impact. We want to contribute to the development of the music and destination ecosystem through collaboration with partners who share the same vision," said Bobby Renaldi.
The collaboration aligns closely with the community-based development approach that forms one of the foundations of Kota Baru Parahyangan's development. As a growing independent township, Kota Baru Parahyangan places the community at the heart of creating a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable environment.
Marketing Manager of Kota Baru Parahyangan, Joseph Ijong Dachlan, explained that developing a destination today is no longer only about physical infrastructure, but also about the quality of interactions and experiences created within it.
"Community-based development is about how a destination grows together with its people. Arts, culture, and music have the ability to connect individuals, strengthen community identity, and create meaningful spaces for interaction. That is why our collaboration with TP Jazz Management is highly relevant to the vision we are developing at Kota Baru Parahyangan," said Joseph Ijong Dachlan.
This shared vision has given rise to TP Jazz Universe as a collaborative platform that goes beyond music and performances, while also creating opportunities for cultural activities, the creative economy, and experience-based tourism to grow.
As its first program outside The Papandayan, TP Jazz Universe: The Greatest Movie Soundtrack was chosen for its broad appeal across different audiences. The concert will offer new interpretations of iconic movie soundtracks that have become part of the collective memories of generations of listeners.
For Dwiki Dharmawan, movie soundtracks have a unique power because they connect music with people's personal experiences.
"Movie soundtracks are one of the most universal forms of music. When a song is played, it brings more than just a melody—it brings memories, stories, and emotions that come with it. That is what makes a concert like this so appealing, because music becomes a meeting point for different generations," said Dwiki Dharmawan.
This collaboration will lead into The Papandayan Jazz Fest 2026, taking place on 3–4 October 2026 at The Papandayan Bandung under the theme “Sound to the Soul.”
The theme reflects the belief that music is not only something to be heard, but also something to be felt. In line with the spirit of TP Jazz Universe, TPJF 2026 aims to create experiences that build deeper emotional connections between musicians, their work, and audiences.
The main event, The Papandayan Jazz Fest (TPJF) 2026, will take place on 3–4 October 2026 at The Papandayan Bandung. The festival will feature Indonesian and international jazz musicians across multiple stages, each offering a different atmosphere and experience.
The first day of TPJF 2026 will feature Dadaks, SND, Arumtala, SFG, SimakDialog, Barry Likumahuwa feat. Ambon Jazz Rock, Batavia Collective, Lalahuta feat. Rieka Roslan, Smoove, Diskoria feat. Andien, Ruth Sahanaya, and The Gentlemen's Club, featuring Adikara, Teza Sumendra, and Bilal Indrajaya in a “Tribute to Koes Plus” performance.
The second day will feature 5 Petani, Barry Likumahuwa feat. TPJC Winner Players, Andre Dinuth Group feat. Matthew Sayersz, Mahalini, T-Five x Melly Mono, and Freedom Jazz Society, featuring Winky Wiryawan, Kenny Gabriel, Jevin Julian, Greybox, and Rinni Wulandari. The festival will also present a special project, Dwiki Dharmawan feat. Dira Sugandi, Dirly Dave & Bandung Jazz Orchestra, in “A Night of Frank Sinatra.” Other musicians and emerging jazz talents will also join the festival lineup.
Beyond its main acts, the festival will provide a platform for young musicians, jazz communities, and local talents to perform and collaborate in an inclusive festival environment.
The performances will take place across six stages:

Tickets for TPJF 2026 are available in three categories: Silver Pass, offering daily access to six stages; Gold Pass, offering access to seven stages including Suagi Grand Ballroom; and Platinum Pass, offering full two-day access to all stages. Entering its 11th year, TP Jazz sees the future of the music industry as extending beyond successful festivals to the development of a sustainable ecosystem.
