VINYL Bar Takeover Vol. 17: Kuala Lumpur’s Coley and Dissolved Solids

VINYL Music Cocktail Bar continues to bring fresh perspectives from across Asia’s bar scene to Bandung with Bar Takeover Vol. 17, welcoming two distinctive Kuala Lumpur concepts, Coley Lumpur and Dissolved Solids, represented by CK Kho and Tracia Chan, respectively, for an evening dedicated to creativity, flavour, and the evolving art of drinks.

Bringing together two different philosophies of beverage craftsmanship, this edition of Bar Takeover invites guests to explore the intersection of tradition, experimentation, and technique through a curated selection of drinks that reflect the personalities behind each bar.

Ranked No. 83 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026, Coley Lumpur has established its identity through its signature “Koktel” menu, reinterpreting classic cocktail traditions through distinctly Malaysian flavours. Drawing inspiration from local ingredients and familiar tastes, Coley presents a contemporary perspective on cocktails, balancing innovation with a strong sense of cultural identity.

Joining the takeover, Dissolved Solids, recognised among Tatler’s 20 Best Bars 2026, brings a broader exploration of liquid in all its forms. Moving beyond conventional boundaries, the concept encompasses creative cocktails and mocktails alongside expertly brewed teas and coffees. Through its exploration of flavour, extraction, and technique, Dissolved Solids challenges traditional perceptions of what a beverage experience can be.

Representing these two distinct approaches, CK Kho and Tracia Chan will bring their respective expertise and creative perspectives to VINYL, offering guests the opportunity to discover new flavour profiles, unexpected combinations, and the techniques that shape each creation.

With each edition, VINYL continues to connect Bandung’s cocktail community with noteworthy names and emerging perspectives from across the regional bar scene. This seventeenth edition celebrates the diversity of modern beverage culture, where different ideas, ingredients, and techniques come together to create something unexpected.
