Every year on February 4, the world observes World Cancer Day as a moment to raise awareness about cancer and the importance of prevention, early detection, and proper treatment. World Cancer Day serves as a reminder to show solidarity with cancer survivors and their families, reassuring them that they are not alone in this journey, as many individuals and organizations extend their support and care.
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 07:30 AM to 1:00 PM WIB, Holiday Inn Bandung Pasteur will hold the event "Stronger Together: A Charity for Cancer Warriors." This event is a collaboration between Holiday Inn Bandung Pasteur, Bandung Cancer Society, and Perfect Water, with support from media partners and sponsors. The event also aims to raise donations for Rumah Singgah Kasih in Bandung. Every attendee contributes to the fundraising, while a portion of the sales from participating vendors will also be donated to Rumah Singgah Kasih. As a token of appreciation, participants will receive goodie bags from sponsors, a light meal, Perfect Water, and a chance to win door prizes.
The event will begin with an educational session featuring a health talk show titled "Can Cancer Really Be Detected Early?" presented by Dr. Odilia Lustriana, a medical consultant from PRAMITA. This will be followed by another health talk show, "Fail-Proof Healthy Diet Tips," with nutritionist Siti Nurlaelatun Nufus, S.Gz., from Ultimacare Wellness Clinic. Additionally, there will be a yoga session led by instructor Yudithia Carmelita and a SADARI (Breast Self-Examination) workshop conducted by the Bandung Cancer Society. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear inspiring stories from cancer survivors.
Through this event, we hope to spread joy, provide motivation, and create a positive impact for everyone. Together, we can be stronger and bring new hope to cancer survivors.
