In celebration of World Clean Up Day 2024, Ascott Cluster Bandung, consisting of Harris Ciumbuleuit Bandung, Harris & POP Festival Citylink, Kimaya Braga Bandung, Oakwood Merdeka Bandung, and Yello Paskal Bandung, organized a waste clean-up event on 12 September 2024. The event took place from Oakwood Merdeka Bandung on Jalan Merdeka to Kimaya Braga Bandung, with the aim of raising public awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
The event involved employees from all Ascott hotel units in Bandung, who participated in cleaning up waste along the route. With a spirit of cooperation and social responsibility, the participants started their clean-up efforts at Oakwood Merdeka Bandung and continued their journey to Kimaya Braga Bandung. The local community also showed positive support and appreciation for the efforts made to keep the city clean.
"Through this event, we hope to inspire the public to care more about their surroundings and support global efforts to maintain the cleanliness of our planet," said Rezy Lazzuardi, Marketing and Brand Manager of HARRIS Ciumbuleuit Bandung. In addition to the clean-up action, the event also included an educational campaign about the importance of reducing single-use plastic and promoting recycling as steps to preserve the environment.
