At the end of the year, The Gaia Hotel Bandung invited guests to reflect on the journey of 2025 and welcomed the new year with renewed intention. Embracing its year-end theme, The Best of Us, the hotel marked the arrival of 2026 as a moment to pause, reconnect, and move forward with greater awareness, empathy, and care.
In the spirit of this reflection, The Gaia Hotel Bandung donated the funds originally allocated for its New Year’s Eve fireworks through the Governor of West Java, Kang Dedi Mulyadi, to support humanitarian and community initiatives for communities affected in Sumatra. A total donation of IDR 80 million transformed a moment of celebration into a meaningful act of shared humanity.
This initiative reflected the belief that moments of joy can also be moments of care. By embracing empathy alongside celebration, the New Year was welcomed with intention, honoring togetherness, responsibility, and the quiet strength found in kindness.
The New Year’s Countdown celebration continued as planned, offering an evening filled with warmth, music, and connection. Guests gathered for an intimate indoor countdown, highlighted by a special live performance by Andien, accompanied by an evocative drum light percussion show, creating an uplifting and memorable way to step into the year ahead.
As the countdown concluded, The Gaia Hotel Bandung welcomed 2026 together with its guests, carrying forward the lessons of the past year, celebrating the present moment, and reaffirming its commitment to becoming the best of us in the year to come.
