What’s New Bali recently had the pleasure of joining an exclusive wellness experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Bali to celebrate the grand debut of Valmont — the prestigious Swiss skincare house — on the Island of the Gods. Though Valmont has had a longstanding presence in Indonesia with its regional headquarters in Surabaya for over two decades, this marks the brand’s first foray into Bali and only its second location in the country.

Founded in 1905 and still proudly family-owned, Valmont is globally renowned for its high-performance anti-aging treatments. One of its most groundbreaking innovations involves Salmon DNA, traditionally injected in aesthetic procedures, but Valmont has refined the formula to allow it to be gently applied to the skin through luxurious facial rituals — offering all the benefits without the need for needles.
Our wellness journey began with a 15-minute breathwork and meditation session at the spa’s tranquil yoga space, designed to align our minds and bodies before the skincare indulgence. This was followed by a hands-on healthy drink workshop held in the stylish Resort Lounge — a chic, private setting where we were introduced to the art of making traditional turmeric-tamarind Jamu. The workshop reflected the heart of Valmont’s ethos: a thoughtful blend of heritage and healing. Surrounded by serene architecture and soothing views, we found ourselves experiencing wellness not just as a treatment, but as a lifestyle — a true expression of Valmont’s 'Art de Vivre.'
The highlight was the 90-minute Valmont facial — a five-step ritual that elevated skincare into a sensory experience. Performed in a private suite at the award-winning Ritz-Carlton Spa, the treatment featured Valmont’s iconic Renewal Pack, beginning with a lotion and exfoliating scrub, followed by a rich mask and warm steam towel cleansing. During the mask, expert therapists delivered calming massages to our shoulders and scalp with precise, tension-releasing techniques. Every detail — from texture to touch — echoed Valmont’s commitment to excellence and rejuvenation. It was not just a facial; it was a moment of timeless indulgence, and the perfect beginning for Valmont’s elegant expansion into Bali’s luxury wellness scene.
