Flavours Of Indonesia by Chef William Wongso

For the first time, Indonesian Culinary Guru, Chef William Wongso will take over Padma Resort Ubud's kitchen to concoct fine dining creations. This highly awaited collaboration was initiated by Padma Resort Ubud and Teka, a leading kitchen appliances specialist from Germany, that was established in 1924. The event will take place in an exciting dining venue in Padma Resort Ubud with mesmerizing ambiance at The Puhu Restaurant.

Chef William Wongso, the brand ambassador of TEKA was born in Malang, East Java in 1947. Due to his extensive experience and knowledge, he was appointed to be the culinary advisor for the Presidential Secretariat Office, Garuda Indonesia. He also collaborated with Chef Gordon Ramsay and National Geography for his show, Uncharted in 2021. Throughout his journey, he also wrote a book titled ‘Flavors of Indonesia, which won The Gourmand 2017 "Best Cook Book of the Year" award.

This special dining event is inspired by one of Padma Resort Ubud's core values, which is to preserve the richness of Indonesian cuisine and elevate the local specialties to the next level. The value also aligned with The Puhu Restaurant's concept which showcased an array of tantalizing cuisine including Indonesian, Asian and European dishes using homegrown ingredients from the Agroforestry Garden and offered diners a dining experience with a panoramic 180-degree view from the top floor.

Through this one-night-only event, Chef Theodora, as the Head Chef of Padma Resort Ubud, also takes part in serving up a sublime gastronomic experience for diners. Both chefs will work together to dazzle diners with a 4-course Indonesian set menu highlighting Sate Lilit Sambal Matah, Sup Kenikir Kerang Kampak, Nasi Minyak Batanghari, Ayam Betutu, and many more. This array of the menu is some of Chef William Wongso's legendary recipes that will tantalize everyone's taste buds.

To complete the dining experience, this event also offers a special wine from Bodega Norton, one of Argentina's leading and experienced wineries, that will be a perfect pairing for all dishes. Not only that but during dinner, the guests will also be spoiled with the accompaniment of a piano performance.

The 4-course dinner service will be held on Friday, 18 November 2022 from 6.30 PM - 9.30 PM at IDR 495,000+ per person, IDR 745,000+ per person with 2 glasses of Bodega Norton wine selections, and IDR 995,000+ per person with a bottle of wine.
