Matt Jacob is an aspiring photographer who used to be a pilot, but after traveling and seeing the world through his eyes, he was inspired to share it through his lens.

We recently caught up with him, just before the official launch of his new space, M.O.O.D. Photography Studio, in Canggu, to know more about him and his art.

What’s New Bali (WNB): Hi there! Can you tell me more about yourself and how you first got into photography?

K-Club Ubud opened in the midst of Covid in 2020, created by two of Bali’s tourism and hospitality  leaders, Alban Kibarer and Cetin Candan. K-Club is defined as a leisure hospitality brand that embraces  its natural surroundings, located in the heart of Bali’s cultural and arts region just minutes from the world  famous Tegalalang rice terraces and 15 minutes north of Ubud.  

The newest restaurant in Ubud, Shichirin, has caught the eye of foodies in Ubud. Shichirin has gained popularity among visitors of Ubud in less than a month since it first opened.

Indonesia is saddened by the natural disaster that happened in Cianjur, West Java. At least 271 people have been reported dead and thousands injured, and many residents have been forced to live in evacuation shelters. 

Atlas Beach Fest & Hotman Paris also feel emphatic about the earthquake in Cianjur and want to express their intention to donate. 

The highest praise for the perfect execution and excellent quality of service came at the end of last week in an emotional speech by Indonesian President Joko Widodo (or “Jokowi”), who thanked all those involved in the G20 Summit, including the tireless team at The Apurva Kempinski Hotel Bali.
