A vibrant atmosphere filled the air at SD Taruna Bakti today. The elementary school, located on Jl. L.L.R.E. Martadinata No. 52, hosted a series of exciting competitions aimed at accommodating students’ potential beyond the academic field. The event saw enthusiastic participation from kindergarten and elementary school students across Bandung.

A variety of competitions took place, from a mini fashion show showcasing creative outfits made from recycled materials, to coloring contests that honed creativity, and a coding competition (Scratch) that tested programming skills. Additionally, there were dance performances and nursery rhyme recitations that further enlivened the event.

“These competitions provide a platform for students to develop their talents and interests,” said Irma Meirani, Principal of SD Taruna Bakti. “We also hope these contests boost their confidence and instill a competitive spirit.”

In the fashion show competition, students impressed with their unique, environmentally-themed costumes and stylish presentations, confidently strutting across the stage. Meanwhile, participants in the coding competition remained focused as they tackled the challenges presented.

Alongside the contests, the event featured a talk show on the prevention of Dengue Fever, with guest speakers including senior psychologist Tika Bisono and Dr. Tony Ijong Dachlan, S.pA, which added to the lively and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees.

“These competitions are a way for us to appreciate the children,” added Muspika Jayaningrum, head of the organizing committee for TBSTC. “We hope events like these continue so that students can grow into smart, creative, and character-driven young individuals.”

At the end of the event, the committee announced the winners of the competitions. All participants received certificates of appreciation, prize money, potted decorative plants, and other exciting gifts. There were also door prizes, including foldable bicycles, gadgets, and netbooks. The winners were overjoyed and proud of their accomplishments.

With the success of this event, it is hoped that other schools will be inspired to hold similar activities. Through events like these, students are expected to grow into high-quality individuals who can lead the nation towards a brighter future.
