Mudfish No Plastic, the only member of the Blue Community in Indonesia, is thrilled to announce its hosting of the Trees and Seas Film Festival in Bali. This global festival, organized by Plastic Oceans, unites film and activism to inspire communities worldwide to take action against plastic pollution. The festival in Bali will take place between September 18th and September 23rd, at three locations: Amed, Tulamben, and Ubud.

Event Details:

Amed (Blue Earth Village) | September 18th

 

 

Screening of four selected short films: Muddy Waters (Brazil), The
Fisherman, The Alien, The Sea (Italy), Elmina (Ghana), and Below the Mountain (Portugal).

Tulamben (Yayasan LMU) | September 20th

 

 

Screening of three selected short films: Muddy Waters (Brazil), The Fisherman, The Alien, The Sea (Italy), and Below the Mountain (Portugal). The screening will be followed by a beach clean-up with local children, reinforcing the importance of environmental stewardship.

Ubud (Cinema Paradiso) | September 23rd:

 

 

Screening of Elmina (Ghana), The Fisherman, The Alien, The Sea (Italy), and Closing The Loop (UK, South Africa, Ecuador).

This festival is free and open to the public, with a special invitation extended to local residents, expats, students, and the many free divers and scuba divers that love our beautiful ocean. By bringing the power of cinema to these communities, Mudfish No Plastic aims to raise awareness about plastic pollution and inspire individuals to take actionable steps towards a more sustainable future.
