ARTOTEL Sanur Bali is proud to present Where Did the Time Go?, the inaugural ceramic exhibition by Indonesian artist Kelvin Wiratama held at ARTSPACE ARTOTEL Sanur Bali. This exhibition marks Kelvin Wiratama's first public appearance, presenting a series of paintings and 30 ceramic works that serve as an intimate introduction to the artist's creative journey from May 20 to August 31, 2025.

In this exhibition at ARTOTEL Sanur, Kelvin Wiratama explores moments of pause, reflection, and the gentle flow of thoughts through the meaningful exhibition title, Where Did the Time Go? His work invites visitors to momentarily withdraw from daily routines and experience a slower, more contemplative presence.

Working in two studios in Jakarta and Bali, Wiratama combines the dynamic pulse of the capital city with the quiet rhythms of island life. His background in architecture shows in the structural elegance of his works, while his experience living in Bali provides a perspective where the boundaries between the living and the non-living are gently blurred. In Kelvin's world, clouds, mountains, and simple shapes reflect human presence-soft yet meaningful.

Through minimalist forms, soft silhouettes, and ambiguous expressions, Wiratama invites visitors to take an introspective journey, allowing personal memories and quiet reflections to surface. Through gentle gestures, textured surfaces, and visible handprints, Wiratama creates a subtle dialogue between artist, material, and viewer.

“I usually start with a sketch or a rough idea, but in the end I let the clay determine the shape,” explains Kelvin Wiratama. “There is something that happens when you listen to what the material wants, when you stop trying to control everything.”

Where Did the Time Go? creates a space that encourages visitors to slow down, be fully present, and find beauty in stillness-inviting us to ponder the ever-flowing question, Where did the time go?
