Hyatt Hotels Corporation proudly announces the opening of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, marking the luxury brand’s debut in Malaysia and its 50th property worldwide. Rising between levels 75 and 114 of the iconic Merdeka 118, the tallest skyscraper in Asia Pacific, the hotel offers discerning travelers an elevated “home in the sky” with unmatched views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.

“This debut represents a milestone for Park Hyatt, not only in Malaysia but across Southeast Asia,” said David Udell, Group President, Asia Pacific, Hyatt. “With three new Hyatt openings in Kuala Lumpur within a year, this is an exciting chapter in our regional growth, further expanding our portfolio of exceptional experiences.”

Your Private Sanctuary Above the City
Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur features 252 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, each framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and infused with natural light. Designed for both relaxation and inspiration, suites offer expansive living areas, walk-in dressing rooms, double vanities, and spa-like bathrooms with separate rain showers and aromatherapy steamers. Select suites also include private dining spaces with panoramic city views.

Design Inspired by Malaysia’s Heritage
G.A Group’s interiors draw from the vernacular beauty of the traditional Malay kampung house, blending sculptural centerpieces with artisanal detailing. Perforated brass screens etched with batik motifs, natural timber finishes, and woven textures evoke basket-weaving traditions and Peranakan influences. The hotel’s art collection, curated by Artlink, showcases celebrated local and international artists, capturing the colors and natural forms of Malaysia.

A Cultural Gateway in the Heart of the City
Guests enjoy curated experiences within the Merdeka 118 precinct, including private access to Stadium Merdeka, where Malaysia’s independence was declared, and guided tours of the Al-Sultan Abdullah Mosque, Merdeka Textile Museum, and architectural highlights of the precinct.

“Merdeka 118 will uplift communities and enhance Kuala Lumpur’s vibrancy as part of Warisan KL, celebrating heritage and revitalizing the city,” said YM Raja Tan Sri Dato' Seri Arshad Raja Tun Uda, Group Chairman of PNB. “We are proud to welcome Park Hyatt to this landmark destination.”

Curated Culinary Journeys
Merdeka Grill – A refined grill concept highlighting premium cuts, sustainable seafood, and locally sourced produce, with signature tableside preparations such as cedar-wood roasted salmon, Chateaubriand, and vanilla ice cream topped with T’lur Caviar.

Park Lounge – A celebration of Malaysia’s lost recipes, from Botok Ikan to Gulai Taucu Minang, alongside an indulgent afternoon tea by Executive Pastry Chef Holger Deh, featuring tableside Mille Feuille and a dessert trolley with vegan and vegetarian options.

Cacao Mixology & Chocolate – The city’s first chocolate-themed bar, offering cacao-inspired cocktails, small-batch spirits, and handcrafted chocolates, complemented by live Bossa nova music and skyline views. Guests can also join exclusive chocolate workshops with award-winning pastry chefs.

Wellness at New Heights
Situated on the 99th floor, the hotel’s spa is a sanctuary of calm, offering circadian therapy, a Himalayan Salt Alcove, an aromatherapy steam bath, vitality pool, and a 30-meter infinity pool with sweeping views. Guests can personalize their stay further by blending their own bath salts with locally inspired botanicals.

Bespoke Meetings & Events
Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s executive salons provide versatile spaces for private meetings, corporate events, weddings, and intimate celebrations. Each venue is bathed in natural light and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, with tailored service ensuring seamless, memorable occasions.

“We are honored to be part of the Merdeka 118 precinct, a location rich in history and moments away from the vibrant Petaling Street Chinatown,” said Herman Kemp, General Manager, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. “From heritage-inspired design to purposeful wellness and culinary artistry rooted in Malaysian culture, we invite guests to discover enriching experiences delivered with Park Hyatt’s signature understated luxury.”
